Gospel we are saved by Christ into His Community for His Mission.Gospel
The gospel is the good news that God the Father came to rescue fallen mankind through repentance of sin and faith in the life, death, and resurrection of His son Jesus Christ. He did this for our good and for His glory, as He brings about the eventual renewal of all creation through the power of His Spirit. When God moves in us to accept the truth of the gospel, it changes who we are and challenges the way we live, think, and act. All growth and progress in Christianity comes from a reliance upon the gospel as our hope for the present and the future. At D3 Church, everything we do centers on helping one another to live gospel-centered lives. We know that the news of the gospel can shape every aspect of our lives for the better and that God is glorified through our daily rediscovering of the glory and beauty and depth of the gospel.
Community
God created us to live in a loving, joyful relationship and community with other people and Himself. Through the gospel, we are adopted into the family of God and therefore a part of a new community: those who have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, or “the Church”. At D3 Church, we believe the best way to live in this new relationship to one another is in our Community Groups. We meet weekly in small gatherings in homes around the city to live life together, encourage one another in the faith, hold each other accountable to the teachings of Jesus, gladly serve one another, continually pray for one another, train each other in being faithful disciples of Christ, and inspire each other to make more disciples in our city and around the world.
Mission
God saves people because He loves them. Those he has already saved into a relationship with Him through the gospel have the responsibility and the joy of sharing the same message with others in the world that God also loves and wants to save. At D3, we want people of all nations to find hope and salvation in Christ, and we are committed to join God in His mission to do this, beginning right here in our community. We constantly seek to encourage one another to share the story of the hope we have found in the gospel of Jesus and the power it has to save all people who will hear and believe. We earnestly work to see disciples made, community groups multiplied, and churches planted for God’s glory in our city. We also desire to serve our city and aid in its prosperity while biblically engaging the culture. We are called neither to retreat from our culture nor to conform to it, but to seek its transformation and submission to the lordship of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and the truth of the gospel.
